WE APPOINTS THREE NEW PRACTICE LEADS IN SINGAPORE

Two Internal Promotions and One External Hire Bolster Sector Leadership for Market

SINGAPORE – 11 DECEMBER 2019 — WE Communications (WE), a leading global communications firm, today announced the addition of three sector leads to its Singapore leadership team: Alicia Eu, Head of Corporate; Sophia Hsu, Head of Technology; and Sahana Prabhakar, Head of Healthcare. These appointments further position the agency to drive growth and expansion in the market.

Each of the three new leaders will be responsible for overseeing and growing their respective sector’s client base:  

• Newly promoted Alicia Eu has nearly a decade’s experience in corporate communications with a strong focus on the financial services sector. During her three years at WE, Eu has worked in three of the agency’s APAC offices. She started at WE’s Sydney office, where she managed a corporate client portfolio including Allianz Australia, HCF and Perpetual Limited, then spent a year in WE’s Hong Kong office prior to her move to Singapore.
• Sophia Hsu was also promoted from within WE, in recognition of her more than 15 years of experience in public relations and integrated marketing communications and strong business results in working with multinational clients across the region. Most recently serving as Head of Technology, Shanghai at WE Red Bridge (WE’s China agency), Hsu provided strategic counsel and delivered award-winning integrated campaigns for brands such as Honeywell, iRobot and OSRAM to name a few.
• Newly appointed Sahana Prabhakar joins WE from Edelman Malaysia where she led and grew the agency’s healthcare practice for six-plus years. Over her 13-year career, Prabhakar led integrated marketing campaigns for major healthcare brands like Astellas, AstraZeneca, Danone, Gilead Sciences, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Roche and Unilever including some award-winning campaigns for Pfizer and Novartis.
